The Shirakawa Katana, called '芷若', shows the art of traditional Japanese sword-making. This great sword has a 26-inch blade made from T10 steel, carefully shaped through 18 manual grinding steps. Each blade is made using old methods of clay tempering, making every sword unique. The katana is very strong, with a hardness of 60 HRC, and can cut through iron without getting dull.
The sword is 103 cm long in total, with a 71 cm blade, a 27 cm handle, and a blade width of 3.2 cm. Its fittings have gold, silver, and copper details, while the handle is wrapped in shark skin for both style and a good grip. The scabbard is made from solid wood and coated with traditional lacquer, adding to the sword's beauty and history.
