OVERVIEW
The Aoi Taka, or "Blue Eagle," is a beautiful example of traditional Japanese sword-making. Made from T10 steel, this katana is carefully crafted by hand. It goes through an 18-step polishing process to achieve a shiny, mirror-like finish. With a hardness rating of 60 HRC, it is strong and sharp, easily cutting through iron while staying strong.
The katana is 103 centimeters long, with a blade that is 71 centimeters long and a handle that is 26 centimeters long. The blade is 3.2 centimeters wide and weighs about 1.45 kilograms. It has a special hamon pattern called "mukumon." The handle, or tsuka, is wrapped in real ray skin, making it both pretty and useful. The fittings are made of pure copper and have beautiful gold and silver details. The Aoi Taka shows a perfect blend of strength and beauty, making it a special part of samurai history.
