OVERVIEW
The Kirin no Tachi is a beautifully made katana that shows the rich history of Japanese sword-making. It is made from T10 steel and goes through a detailed 18-step hand-polishing process. This sword also uses a special blackening method, making it very strong with a hardness of 60 HRC. The sword measures 103 cm in total length, has a 71 cm cutting edge, and is 3.2 cm wide, giving it a great mix of strength and flexibility. It weighs 1.24 kg and has an iron tsuba along with a nicely painted wooden scabbard. The Kirin no Tachi is a true example of the skill and importance of Japanese craft.
