OVERVIEW

The Kizuna Katana, called '五七桐', is a great example of Japanese sword-making. It is made from strong manganese steel. This katana is very tough; it can bend 90 degrees without breaking and has a hardness of 60 HRC, which means it can cut through iron easily. It is 103 cm long overall, with a blade that is 71 cm long. The blade is 3.2 cm wide and is hand-made and polished to shine like a mirror, showing the skill that goes into making it. The pretty wooden sheath is painted and has the family crest of '五七桐', making it both beautiful and important.
