OVERVIEW
The Kuro Tsume, or 'Black Widow', is a special katana that shows off Japanese skill and tradition. It is 103 cm long, with a blade that is 71 cm long and 3.2 cm wide. The blade is made from Damascus steel, which has a beautiful pattern created by hand-forging layers of steel.
The katana is polished by hand, making it both useful and nice to look at. The handle, or tsuka, is wrapped in real ray skin for a good grip. The guard, called the tsuba, has detailed gold and silver designs. The scabbard, or saya, is made from a type of wood and covered in black fish skin, adding to the sword’s beauty. The Kuro Tsume represents the lasting art and spirit of the samurai.
