OVERVIEW
The 'Ryu no Tachi' is a beautifully made katana, showing the old traditions of Japanese sword-making. It is 103 centimeters long, with a blade that is 71 centimeters long. This sword is both elegant and powerful. Made from T10 steel, it is very hard at 60°, allowing it to cut through iron while keeping its sharp edge.
The blade has a unique flame-like pattern, created by careful hand-polishing using 18 traditional steps, which gives it a fiery look. The handle, called the tsuka, is covered with beautiful pearl fish skin and wrapped in soft suede for comfort and a good grip. The sword also has a finely made pure copper tsuba, and the saya, or scabbard, is made from solid wood, covered in lacquer and carved to enhance its beauty.
