OVERVIEW

The Tohoku no Kiba, or "Tohoku's Fang," is a famous katana that shows the rich history of Japanese sword-making. It is 103 cm long overall, with a blade length of 71 cm. This sword is made from T10 steel, known for being very hard and strong, with a hardness rating of 60 HRC. The design of the sword balances strength and flexibility, allowing it to cut through iron while staying sharp.

The blade has a beautiful three-color polish called "nail burn," which shows the skill that went into making it. It has been ground by hand 18 times to create a very sharp edge. The iron tsuba (handguard) shows the art of traditional Japanese sword parts. The hilt is covered with real pearl fish skin, wrapped by hand, making it both pretty and easy to hold. The scabbard is made from solid wood and finished with lacquer, featuring detailed family crests.

The Tohoku no Kiba represents the lasting art and cultural importance of the katana, showing both its history and fighting skill.
