The 'Tora no Ken,' or 'Tiger's Sword,' shows the skill of traditional Japanese sword making. This katana is 103 cm long, with a blade that is 71 cm long and 3.2 cm wide. It weighs 1.36 kg. The blade is made from Damascus steel, using old methods that layer and fold the metal to make it strong and beautiful. Each sword goes through clay tempering and is carefully ground to be very sharp and look nice.
The tsuba, or handguard, is made of pure copper with detailed silver designs. The handle is wrapped in real ray skin for a good grip. The scabbard is made of blue wood and covered in red pearl fish skin. It has traditional kashira and a yellow cow horn inlay. The 'Tora no Ken' shows the rich history of Japanese sword fighting, combining beauty and usefulness in a classic design.
