OVERVIEW
The Kuroryu no Uta, or Black Dragon's Chant, is a well-made tanto, showing the great skill of Japanese sword-making. This short knife has a 12-inch blade made from strong manganese steel, known for being tough and not bending easily. The blade is black and has detailed engravings of dragons, which represent power and beauty.
With a hardness rating of 60 HRC, the blade is very sharp and can cut through iron without getting dull. The entire tanto is 55 cm long, with a blade that is 33 cm, a handle that is 17 cm, a blade width of 17 cm, and a thickness of 3.2 cm. It weighs about 0.7 kg. The hilt has a zinc alloy tsuba, which adds to the tanto's look and use. This piece shows the skill and history of Japanese weapons.
