OVERVIEW
The Soukaku Kiryuu is a special tanto, a type of Japanese knife. It is made from strong T10 steel and uses an old method called clay tempering, which makes the blade tougher and sharper. The careful work is clear in the 17-step polishing process, using a traditional three-color grinding method. This not only makes the blade look beautiful but also makes it very hard and strong.
The tanto is 55 cm long in total, with a 33 cm blade and a 17 cm handle. The blade is 3.2 cm wide and 0.6 cm thick, weighing about 0.7 kg. The Soukaku Kiryuu shows the skill and art of Japanese sword-making, combining beauty and use in one amazing piece.
