OVERVIEW
The Yoko no Ken is a special tanto that is 12 inches long. It shows the great skill in making Japanese swords. Made from strong T10 steel, this blade has a traditional groove for blood and is carefully made using old methods of clay tempering and quenching. Each sword goes through 17 steps of water polishing, making it very hard and strong.
The Yoko no Ken is 55 cm long in total, with a blade that is 33 cm. The blade is 3.2 cm wide and 0.6 cm thick, weighing about 0.8 kg. The handle is wrapped with real pearl fish skin and comes with a wooden lacquered scabbard, showing the art and care that make this sword special.
