The Maeda Tachi is a famous Japanese sword that shows the special skill of samurai makers. Made from T10 steel, this 26-inch blade goes through 18 steps of hand-polishing to create a shiny finish that shows the hard work of its creators. The blade is curved and carefully tempered, giving it a great mix of strength and flexibility. With a hardness rating of 60 HRC, it can cut through iron without losing its sharp edge.
The sword is 104 centimeters long, with a blade that is 71 centimeters, a handle that is 27 centimeters, and a blade width of 3.2 centimeters. It weighs 1.36 kilograms and comes with a nicely painted wooden scabbard that has traditional Japanese family crests. The handle, called a tsuka, is also finely made.
